Lee Arnold's ex Boris Said Sonoma winning SouthWest Tour late model stock car has been one of the winningest SCCA big bore club racers over the last ten years. Mostly in SPO, occasionly In GT-1, the car has run 2:10's at Sebring long, 1:21 at Homestead, low 1:50's at Daytona despite running on 10" stock car rubber with a blade spoiler. The car is now powered by an 18 degree SBC making more than 600 HP. It is a Robert Hamke chassis.
Recently Fred and Chuck Strube did a ground up refurb of the car and converted it to Gen 5 Camaro using the AR Bodies kit. The body is a great value at about 3K in color.
Put some GT-1 rubber and a wing and one would have quite a cost effective club GT-1.
