Now up to 8. Also, just looked at the Hallet entry list, and they are up to 4. Good sized fields for both events.

So, 8 were entered but 4 raced on Saturday and 3 on Sunday based on the results? What happened?

In the end it was a weekend of problems-the folks with the fewest survived. Never seen so many good competitors have a multitude of issues in the group!

Well as you know I did not even get to the track for my problems to start. Monday before the event I pulled plugs and found 3 plugs had the ground strap broken off at the bend so those had 1/8" + gaps and the 4rth plug had no ground strap at all. All due to friggin vibration. I checked the plugs under a magnifying glass and all 3 plugs had jagged fractured ends. The 4rth was using the exhaust valves as ground by evidence on the outer edge of the valves. Weird stuff. And it was running on all 4. And naturally the head had little ding marks from all those little plug pieces bouncing around in the cylinders till they escaped out the exhaust. So I'm hoping to make Summit for my first race. Hope someone else can make it. See you all at the races.

What about the P-1800 GT3 car? I found it listed as having turned laps in the 1st session, but running in the small bore group. I would guess that someone mistakenly assumed it was a prod car. So why did it only run one session, and was it counted as a GT3 participant?

It was originally entered as a GT3, but the owner/driver decided he wasn't comfortable with the 60+mph closing speed of the GT1/2 cars and elected to run in FP. We are trying to finish up his GT3 tube frame P1800 with hope of testing in May. With that car he will only have to deal with a 40+mph overtaking speed!

Sam, what Autolite calls there "race tip" plug turns out to be a projected tip and that may have been the problem. So I'm trying the standard tip plug. I have yet to find a surface gap plug in the .709" conical seat configuration. If you know of one please pass on the info. Thanks
Chris
PS tell your other Volvo driver not to worry about those closing speeds. Just keep his line. I've shared the track with GT1 cars for 20 years and they have never been a problem.
